"Daytime running light"

Have a 1965 t90, converted to 12v. Being based in France looking to fit daytime running light to keep les Flicks off my back (maybe it's not a silly idea anyway). Have a 23watt halogen bulb and holder to fit in pilot light hole now want to wire it to the ignition. Looking at wiring diagram can Itake power from the brown/white wire to the ammeter or will I have to take a wire back to the ignition switch, or is there a simpler way ?
Excuse my ignorance
