"New to Brit bikes. I'll need help!"

Greetings. My name is Brad and I just picked up my 1st Brit bike; 1963 Norton. I'm not sure what model it is. It's in pieces, except for the engine and trans is intact. I was told the engine is a 500 cc. It is a single carb too. Not only is this my 1st Brit bike, but my 1st bike project too! I'm a bike novice. Mainly into old cars, namely AMC/Nash/Hudson. I guess the first thing is gaskets. Where could I go about getting all the gaskets to rebuild the engine/trans/carb? Any weird stuff to expect when I get into tearing her down? For the record, I'm not putting this bike together for resale, I'm gonna keeping her around.

-Brad

You came to the right place. It will take a while for everybody to check in but you will get some premo assistance.
Get your serial numbers together for the frame and engine.

A few pictures would be very helpful, Engine closeups and wide shots.
