I am a new member looking for some info on a bike I once owned.
I owned the bike for about two years in my late teens, which would put us around 1964 to 1966. I aquired it from a man who had it stood up against a wall in his back garden and said it would not work. To the best of my recollection I gave him a fiver for it and pushed it home! It didn't take much effort to get it going and I rode it around happily for a couple of years before part-exing it for a car. I have recollections of doing 80mph on it down the M5, which was then a very new road. Now aged (a youthful) 60, I would very much like to own one again, possibly as a restoration project
My understanding at the time was that it was a Dominator 99. However, allthough I did not know much about it at the time, I now realise that it was not a standard model. Description is as follows.

Frame - Featherbed (I'm pretty sure).
Forks - Telescopic alloy with 'clip-on' bars.
Wheels - Spoked with alloy hubs containing full width drum brakes.
Engine - I have a feeling it was a 600cc twin. It had twin Amal carbs and a siamese exhaust which ran down the left side of the machine (I think). This was unusual because I have only seen twin exhausts in all the pictures of Dommi 99's I have found.
Colour - Black, allthough I'm not sure it was original.

Unfortunately I cant remember its year of registration or Reg Number.

I would be grateful if anyone could shed light on what it might have been. If you need any further info, please ask and I will try to remember.
