"1971 commando frame (what years will work on 20m3s engines)"

Hello,I have a 1971 commando, that was butchered up.I have the engine, tranie, and a part of a frame that had the rear cut away, and had a hard tall welded on.I have good paper work, and always wanted a norton,so Im thinking I will try to bring it back to life.My first Question is do I have to use a 71 frame& swingarm(I didnt get the old swingarm with the cutup frame). The model number is 20m3s The serial number is 1439xx,I left the last two numbers out.My buddys say sell it and just buy a whole norton,I say some one would find a rolling chassis and build from scratch. If some one else could put it back on the road, then so can I,ANY COMMENTS WILL HELP thanks.
