"Norton Wideline Frame Identification"

I recently bought a pile of Norvin parts. The frame appears to be a featherbed wideline. It has the number "76783" stamped on the right side. The odd thing about the frame is that there is an threaded fitting on the front left side, and a petcock looking valve fitted to around the middle of the left side. I'm guessing these are for some sort of oil return from the front to the back and into an oil tank?

Any thoughts as to what I have? E-mail me at scrocker1@yahoo.com if you want to see pics.
