Hi All: I need some advice. My bike is a 1967 Norton Atlas. I would like to convert it over to disc brakes, front and rear. What would be the best way to achive this? Would I just install a set of 1975 Commando forks? Do they work better than the Atlas forks? Or could I just put later Commando lower fork legs on to the Atlas upper tubes? Thanks for any response as I know nothing about the older English cycles.

The best way for the best results and fit of components is to use all the atlas fork parts except for the lower legs of the disc brake commando. The ride height will be correct. Upgrades to the damping action would be worth while if you feel like an all out upgrade.
