hello i am at the moment working on a bsa victor w/transmission problems...i cant seem to get the inner case cover off to get at the gears-i have followed the proceedure outlined in the manual & the case is free for about 1 inch but it wont slide off the rest of the way...this is the first try by me to remove an inner casing so yeah im a rookie-what have i missed? thanks folks-oi! 441dave

Check out the B50 homepage. According to the tech tip there, it would seem that you're hung up on the shift quadrant. there is a procedure described to remove the case and leave the gearset alone. I forced my B44 apart and bent a shift fork. good luck! Pat
